Pushkar Fair- 2013 and Ajmer City

Pushkar is considered one of the holiest places in India, with a pond considered to be created by tears of Lord Shiva. The city also is well known for its most famous Brahma Temple (which is considered to be the only temple in the country dedicated to the Lord of Creator), during the occasion of Kartik Poornima, where lakhs of devotes take a dip in the holy Lake of Pushkar and visit the temple to offer their prayers. The famous Pushkar Camel Fair is organised for 5 days before the Kartik Poornima and this holy day is celebrated and marks the end of the Pushkar Camel Fair. Tourists all over the world come to visit this fair and this holy town is busy cashing out money and generating revenue for the upcoming months. It’s a pleasure to attend this fair as it takes you back to the good old days of Village life (if you have experienced it earlier), where the traders trade on the animals and the you get to see lots of animal strength and their masters/owners also take a lot of pride in showcasing their treasure. The town also has a beautiful rode through the Pushkar Ghats which leading to another City called Ajmer. Ajmer is 5th largest City of the State Rajasthan also well known for the The Dargah Sharif of Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti (the shrine has the grave (Maqbara) of the revered saint, Moinuddin Chisti). It is believed that Mugal Emperor Akbar and his queen used to come here by foot on pilgrimage from Agra every year in observance of a vow when he prayed for a son. The City draws loads of tourist as it connects to the major cites of the state and nearby states. It is well connected by Road, Train and Air.
